EXPOSUCATE THE WORKPLACE BULLY!
Among the solutions tossed around in fighting a workplace bully is just “confront” the bully. Well unfortunately, as this article reveals that could be the worst thing to do. Why? Usually, the bully can and will have a support mechanism via management, ownership, employees even vendors and customers! So in essence the bully target(s) could find her/himself also the target(s) of “workplace conspiracy” and “mobbing”.

The Bass Pro Shops Attract the EEOC Cops!
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed a discrimination lawsuit against Bass Pro Shops in federal district court in Houston. The suit filed Wednesday September 21st alleges the company discriminates in hiring. a significant number companies that consistently are the targets of race discrimination cases are usually of the “good ole boy” culture.
Successful discrimination suits against employers such as Denny’s, Cracker Barrel and others all have a decidedly southern “good ole boy” slant.
Now Bass Pro Outdoor World LLC, which is based in Springfield, Mo. has added it’s name to this infamous list.

I’m Pregnant, Please Fire Me!
It’s truly amazing that employers still don’t get it! An employee happily annouces, “I’m pregnant!” to co-workers and management. While co-workers celebrated with her, management apparently had other ideas. Sara Hillins employed by Marketing Architects Inc. decided to take maternity leave for 14 weeks. A couple of days later, her promotion disappeared and so did her management position.
